It is the purpose of the

13th EUROPEAN MUSIC WORKSHOP ALTOMÜNSTER

to encourage instrumental and vocal chamber music, as well as a cultural exchange.

The offered sections are masterclasses and workshops.

Masterclasses

to work on celebrated pieces of chamber music and solorepertoire with students and graduates of music academies, highly gifted young musicians, music pedagogues, and ambitious amateurs.

Lessons during the masterclass will take place on

from 10.00 to 17.30, including lunch break.

On 21.04.2018 from 14.00 to 18.00 (common dinner)

Please note that it is not possible to book a single mastercalss.
EUMWA is a chambermusic project, classes will take place in rotation between all lecturers.
Single lessons will deal only about the preparation of the chambermusic repertoire.
An additional workshop in improvisation  will be held by Prof. Andrea Friedhofen.

Workshop

to introduce children and adults who have mastered the fundamental skills of their instrument to chamber music, and playing in ensembles.

Instrumentalists, vocalists, ensembles and composers are invited.

Repertoire selection, and ensemble grouping will be done in consultation with the artistic director.

Classes take place in the center of Altomünster.

Practice and rehearsals spaces are provided. Accommodation will be offered by local guesthouses, local families and the Birgittine Monastery (price on request).

Lessons during the workshop will take place from

23.04. bis 25.04.2019

from 10.00 – 17.30, including lunch break. The final concert of the workshop section will follow on 25.04. at 17.30.

The course is divided in single lessons and ensemble lessons, an additional workshop in improvisation and community music.
